The resort offers a variety of terrain spread out over two distinct mountains. Spruce Peak offers
intermediate and novice terrain, while Mt. Mansfield offers terrain for all ability levels.
Trails: In total, Stowe has 48 trails with 25 percent for advanced skiers, 59 percent for intermediates and
16 percent for novices. Each trail averages nearly a mile in length, which is double the average trail length
of any other resort in the East.
Lifts: Getting to the top of Stowe is fast and comfortable. The East's first detachable quad chair and the
world's fastest gondola both offer top-to-bottom skiing. With high-speed lifts and exceptionally long trails,
skiers are guaranteed more skiing time and less time standing in lift lines.
Snowboard and Cross-Country Skiing
With the support of nearby Burton Snowboard Company and a number of successful teaching programs,
Stowe has worked hard to create a well-integrated and courteous ski/snowboard community. There is a
terrain park and two half-pipes that have been created for snowboard riders.
Stowe is a Nordic skier's paradise with its vast expanse of interconnected trails. There are four centers to
choose from: Stowe Mountain Resort Cross-Country Center, Trapp Family Lodge, Edson Hill Manor and
Topnotch -- all tied together with one common ticket. From Stowe, skiers can easily access more than
200 miles of groomed and forested skiing. .
Snow: Stowe averages more than 260 inches of natural snowfall a year. To ensure great skiing when
nature does not cooperate, a state of the art snowmaking system provides 73 percent coverage, including
two of the super steep Front Four trails.

Getting There: From Exit 10 off Interstate 89:
Go north on Route 100 to Stowe Village.
At stop sign in Stowe, turn left onto Route 108.
Follow Route 108 to Stowe Mountain Resort.
It's about a 15-minute drive from I-89 to the resort.
